“An amazing read. There is an abundance of scripture in Dr. Watkins’ book dedicated to examining wealth in Christians’ lives. Simply put, if you want to know what Jesus and others in the Bible taught about wealth, this book will help you.
What I appreciate about Biblical Economics 101 is that it is not specifically focused on how we can acquire wealth. It is focused on what God is up to with his wealth, and on how he is looking for servants to participate with him in managing wealth for spiritual and humanitarian benefit – a process that is intended for God’s glory and others’ blessing.
The book packs a compelling message that cautions persons who are looking for a way to achieve wealth merely as a personal goal. Your wealth is not about you – yes, God is able to bring prosperity into your life but he is looking for those who will both thoughtfully and compassionately use it for Kingdom purposes. Don’t consider that God is handing you a compliment by being blessed with abundance. Consider the compliment to be that you are counted worthy to demonstrate your ability to invest it well for God’s intentions.
To me Biblical Economics 101 highlights the opportunity entrusted to prospering Christians to apply their wealth (along with other persons applying their gifts and callings) to reveal God as a loving Father and faithful provider; a God who wants to be known personally, even intimately, and looks for those who will manage his wealth in a way that blesses, heals and restores people to relationship with him.
Dr. Watkins should be credited for his processing of many scriptural references that together make it clear that God is for us, and desires to bless us in numerous ways if we will but recognize that the blessings we receive have an intended impact beyond our own enjoyment.”
“Enjoyable Read, And Engaging Discussion – Especially the Latter Half! The book presents an interesting idea right off the start – that Jesus was in fact not materially poor while on Earth. It’s an interesting thought that engaged me right off the start, and the evidence provided was sufficient to make me start to consider this way of believing. The latter half of the book speaks much on Melchizedek which I found fascinating and gripping. The reason this is a 4 star from me is there were a few portions I felt could use a little more backing up or were slightly disconnected thoughts and I think I noticed two spelling errors. Well worth the read though and I would recommend this book to anyone who has questions especially about tithing!”
“Biblical Economics 101, is a very easy read. I love that it is completely backed up by scripture. The writer is correct, there are so many false beliefs about what the bible has to say about money. Thank you for writing this book and clearly letting the reader know the truth about God’s views on money and how he wants to bless his people. Most importantly, a great lesson and understanding about Biblical Economics!”
“An interesting read, Dr Watkins navigates the controversial debate between Christianity and gaining material wealth. Arguments are rooted in scripture, and they are laid out in a clear and logical manner. This book will challenge your understanding of personal finances, and will encourage deeper thought on what God has in store for you!”
“Biblical Economics 101, Living Under God’s Financial Blessing is written to help you understand what the scriptures say about money and wealth. Mr. Watkins helps the reader understand that God wants us to be wealthy and he wants us to use our wealth for His good. And, he has the biblical passages to back up this claim. This book could be called a modern day handbook on how to understand and steward the finances God has entrusted to each of us. It is a fascinating read and an excellent book.”
“A lot of books will cover just one side or aspect of a topic. Dr. Watkins is very thorough in his coverage of this topic. It would do us all well to take another, deeper look at this important area of our lives and God’s will. This book will give you food for thought no matter your background. Everone member of the Body of Christ owes it to the body to know God’s will. Have a read and see, I think you will learn some things.”

“As someone who has spent most of his life in the church, I’ve always known that there is a need for the Body of Christ to come into new level of prosperity. It seems like we are always playing catch up. Most people in the church think that’s where we are suppose to be. Dr Stuart Watkins gives us a clear picture of how God wants us to prosper! THIS IS A MUST READ”
“Biblical Economcis 101; Living Under God’s Financial Blessing. Most Christians somehow believe it’s holier to be poor than well-to-do, but Biblical Economics 101 reveals how wrong we have been! God’s heart is actually for us to PROSPER, and Dr. Watkins backs it up with scripture after scripture. He then goes even farther to show the reader how to reap God’s greatest financial blessings. It’s a gold mine of a book!”
“There is an unfortunate myth in Christendom. It tells us that it is honourable to just have enough money to get by. That myth also tells us that it is wrong to get rich. Dr. Watkins uses scripture to present compelling arguments for putting that myth to a permanent rest. It is honourable to get rich. Then he shows us how to remove the roadblocks to becoming rich. I highly recommend Biblical Economics 101, Living Under God’s Financial Blessing.”
